Tahoe Donner
Tahoe Donner is a planned mountain community located minutes from Old Town Truckee and Interstate 80. It is the perfect hub for Sierra activities - with several major ski resorts, Donner Lake, Lake Tahoe, and Reno all within a 5-35 minute drive. We are close to everything that people come to the mountains for.

Aside from the plentiful amenities provided by Tahoe Donner, there are also great fishing streams and lakes, surprisingly good sailing and windsurfing spots, gentle to advanced kayaking and rafting sections of the Truckee River, popular rock climbing sites, cross country and back country ski areas, mountain biking, hiking, backpacking and horseback riding trails, and large sections of The Tahoe National Forest that lies immediately North of Tahoe Donner.

Vistas, sun exposure, snow loads, and winter access within Tahoe Donner are spectacularly diverse. Surprisingly, not all homes and driveways are designed with winter conditions in mind. The North Woods Group will make you aware of how your home can expect to fare against the Sierra winter elements.

We are part of the Town of Truckee, and our nearly 70 miles of roads are maintained and plowed by the town. We are on public sewer, PUD water, and while most homes are on natural gas, there are some that are on propane.

Tahoe Donner’s 6,000 acres are latticed with “open space areas” designated as recreation/service space, which can add privacy and natural habitat preservation. There are 5,806 residential, 119 condo and 16 commercial sites. There are approximately 4,900 homes built, about 20% of those are lived in year round. Not only does the Tahoe Donner Homeowner’s Association serve the homeowners’ interests, but they constantly welcome and encourage feedback in order to improve their services. The homeowner dues are $1,152 per year per property, plus an additional $242 which allows 4 member passes to access the amenities. (2008 dues)

Tahoe Donner Amenities

Euer Valley – 240 acres of pristine wilderness located on the perimeter of Tahoe Donner.

Trails – Miles of hiking, equestrian, and mountain biking trails wind throughout Tahoe Donner’s open space areas and Euer Valley.

Alpine Ski Hill and Lodge – With 2 chair lifts and 14 runs, this ski hill is a modest and fun downhill and snowboard area with a terrain park, rental shop, lessons and cafeteria-style food service.

Nordic Ski Center – This expansive network offers over 60 kilometers of trails that wind through meadows and into the Euer Valley.

Equestrian Center – Board your own or rent a horse for trail rides around Tahoe Donner and the Euer Valley. Instruction is available.

Camp Grounds – Located by Alder Creek, the family campgrounds can accommodate everything from a pup tent to RV’s. Showers and play activities are available.

Beach Club and Marina at Donner Lake – Exclusive to Tahoe Donner property owners and their guests, this private and gated sandy beach offers great BBQ set ups, parking, launch ramp, fishing and swimming pier, private bathrooms, hot showers, rental boats, a food concession facility, and various watercraft lessons.

Golf Course – Scenic mountain golf – a challenging, championship semi-private 18-hole course, with The Lodge and “19th hole”.

Driving Range - Features 12 stations, practice greens, a pro shop and also serves as a concert venue.

The Lodge – Not just a brand new golf pro shop, The Lodge also contains a fine dining restaurant, pub, patio, and banquet room.

Trout Creek Rec Center – A complete health club with free-weights, workout machines, jazzercise/ yoga room, personal trainers, sauna, steam room, 3 hot tubs, summer pool, all season lap pool, basketball court, playground, picnic and BBQ area, and extensive sun decks.

Lap Pool – This outdoor lap pool is heated to 82° and is open even during snow storms!

Recreational Pools – Both the Trout Creek Rec Center and the Northwoods Clubhouse Complex have outdoor recreational pools.

Northwoods Clubhouse Complex – This complex serves not only as the administrative center for Tahoe Donner, but also includes a recreational pool, high-speed internet access, conference room facilities, and is adjacent to the Tennis Center.

Tennis Center – This fine facility offers 11 courts, a tennis pro, and a pro shop.

Snow Play Area – A supervised sled and tubing hill for children, adjacent to Trout Creek Rec Center.

Kids’ Day Camp – Offers supervised and scheduled outdoor summer activities for children.

Children’s Play Area – Children’s playgrounds are available at both the Trout Creek Rec Center and the Northwoods Clubhouse.

Old Greenwood
Old Greenwood lies to the Eastern side of Truckee among a forested 600 acres. This 4-season resort community features a range of ownership opportunities, and a pristine golf course as well. Gray’s Crossing is another East West Partners development that has blossomed among the Eastern side of Truckee. The Ritz-Carlton Highlands is slated for completion in late 2009 and will be a 172 room resort. 75 full ownership residences will be available, along with 77 residences set for fractional ownership. Lahontan
Lahontan lies on the north side of Brockway summit nestled among 880 acres of Martis Valley’s pristine beauty. The Rock
The Rock is Truckee’s first mixed use complex. The development consists of commercial, retail and residential units set on nine acres just off of Highway 267 near the Truckee Tahoe Airport. This neighborhood type setting features six multi-level buildings offering 60,646 square feet, professional landscaping, and public parking. Business owners will have the opportunity to partake in the design aesthetic to their space. While construction is still underway, reservations have begun, and the retail/office spaces are filling quickly.

For residents, there will be 7 studio apartments available with views overlooking the nearby Ponderosa Golf Course and the Carson Range. There will also be 19 town homes located in a nearby but separate project called The Greens. Construction completion is estimated for late 2007.

The Boulders
The Boulders is a condominium community conveniently located on the South side of Truckee, with easy access to 89 and I-80. These residences are also close to shopping, dining, and ski resorts, including Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, Sugar Bowl, and Northstar.

Donner Crest

Riverview Townhomes

The Spring Creek development is located on the North side of Truckee, off of highway 89 near the junior high school and will feature both single family homes and affordable housing duplexes. The affordable housing units will have an income max of 120% of the median income for Nevada County, and will feature down payment assistance upon qualification.

Village at Sugar Bowl
The Donner Summit ski resort Sugar Bowl gets great snow exposure and is a favorite ski spot in the Truckee/ Tahoe area. Sugar Bowl also offers great recreation opportunities in the summertime as well, with concerts, hiking and biking! Sugar Bowl is one of the closest ski resorts to the Sacramento and Bay areas, and is also a quick drive from the many other Tahoe ski resorts, such as Squaw Valley, Alpine Meadows, and Northstar.

Timilick
Initially called the Eaglewood Development, Timilick is located in the Martis Valley, off of Highway 267. The community itself wraps around the John Harbottle designed 18-hole golf course and also features a clubhouse, a restaurant, spa, and fitness center. Martis Camp
Martis Camp is made up of 650 homes that rest upon parcels that range from 1.2 to 5 acres. Homes feature both meadow and mountain views. The development backs to Tahoe National Forest and is on 2,100 acres of the breathtaking Martis Valley. There will be four phases in the construction process, with the first range prices ranging from $500,000 to $1,650,000.
